TERRARIUMS with MS. RAINA

"What Do Animals Need to Live in a Terrarium?"First graders are extending the knowledge they've learned about what plants need to grow to the similar needs of animal life. Girls are applying crosscutting skills in understanding Systems and Systems Models as they observe animal life in the terrariums. As part of today's lesson, girls built a model of a backyard on a smaller scale in the classroom - a terrarium.   The terrarium has many parts that work together to make it a successful habitat for plants and animals. After planting seeds, snails and isopods were added in.
