Meet Ms. Ashley
Ni Hao! My name is Ashley. I have been a Mandarin teacher for 19 years. This is my third year in Convent and Stuart Hall. I am so excited to be the 1st grade Mandarin teacher! During this semester, we will not only review/learn Mandarin language/conversation, but we will also explore Chinese culture, games, and songs. Please email me if your family needs any Mandarin resources:

This week the girls were introduced to the Chinese character "Fu 福" which means "fortune" or "good luck". Chinese families will write this character on red paper with different styles of calligraphy. Then they hang it on the entrances to homes to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. The Year of the Pig begins on February 5, 2019.
