MEET: Teresa Tate
Partner at Perkins Cole, LLP

Teresa specializes in corporate law. She helps businesses
       to grow. Teresa meets talented
people who have creative
ideas. She enjoys helping her clients although it sometimes
means working in the evenings and on the weekends.
Presenting a Skit

A client is interested in starting a company. She meets
with Teresa who will help her to understand and comply
with  the laws related to the business by coming up with
      a plan.

After time passes, Teresa's client returns with a problem
that has come up. She arranges for one of her partners
who specializes in lawsuits to handle the case.

As the client's company grows, she is ready to take the
next step in expanding. Teresa finds the investors who

       believe in the business.

Meet Carey deVreker
Valiant Capital Management
Chief of Marketing & Investor Relations
What is "Marketing"?
Carey's presentation helped the girls to understand what goes
into marketing a product. What do you need to think about
when you're planning to open a lemonade stand? Some factors
 to consider include:
Product - What makes your lemonade unique?
Location - Where will you reach as many people as possible?
Weather - How will this affect sales?
Price - What is your profit after expenses?
Promotion - How will people find out about your business?
Lemonade Story Board

By choosing a good location for your lemonade stand, more
people will come to buy your lemonade.

Questions & Answers: What is a favorite part of your job?
"I love meeting people. I use people skills. I have the
ability to communicate effectively, and understand what
  they need."
  What tools do you use?
"That's a good question! I use my brain, my personality,
  and a computer."
