INAUGURAL WOODSHOP CLASS!
CES and SHB students are the first classes being held in the Woodshop. Geoff deSantis and  Danny Seibert introduced the girls and boys to the space, reviewed safety rules, and supervised cutting with saws. During the next 4 lessons, coed classes will focus on:
• Using the miter box to cut wood for making a frame
• Sanding wood learning about sandpaper - its various grits and sanding techniques: bevel edges
• Assembling wood using straps and glue
• Fixing mistakes with wood filler and sanding, as needed and painting the frame
First graders will be creating artwork for frames in their respective homerooms.
