YI MIN'S GREAT WALL
First graders have continued their investigation of earth materials. They are investigating how earth materials can make a good mortar that is sticky and durable. This week girls they used wet earth materials sandwiched between two tiles to observe their strength and durability when used as mortar.
Armed with new information about these earth materials, girls will be formulating mortar mixtures to use in building a small-scale wall and then testing its strength.
