Angela Taylor (Wednesday) and Mr. Geoff De Santis (Thursday) stepped in as our demolition specialists! First graders' walls were tested for their strength and durability. Walls were subjected to four levels of force, ranging from 1 to 4 (highest). Girls watched with keen eyes to observe what was happening to the walls.

Design Engineering Process: IMPROVE!
Girls met with their partners one final time to look at their walls, talk about improvements, and write in their Design & Engineering Notebooks. They answered the question: "How can you improve your wall design?" Girls also drew a new sketch and labeled important details (mortar, stones, position, size, etc.) to show improvements. |
